セレモニーを後ろから見ていて改めて思ったのは、なでしこJAPANはアメリアやカナダの選手と比べて大幅に小さいこと。でも、試合前の宮間キャプテンのコメントによると、彼女たちはそれを弱点とは考えず、違いだととらえそれを活かすための戦術と練習を積んできたという。 彼女たちのプレーはとても統制されていて機敏なパスとボールを持ってない選手が相手の隙を生むために継続して動いていて、感動的でさえあった。2位おめでとうございます。今度日本に戻ったら、女子リーグ見に行こうと思う。

At the awards ceremony. I realise Japanese players are much smaller than US and Canada team. It seems to be a weak point. However, according to Cap. Miyama’s interview before this game, she considers it as their characteristic rather than a negative gap. Japan football team succeeds in optimising their physical characteristic with well-thought strategy. I like their well-organised team work. Congratulations, Silver medal! I’ll go to see women’s foot league in Japan.
